¨ PGI CHRISTMAS LIGHT CANAL TOUR : Joan Greene reports we had 48 on the Cruise boat tour of the PGI canal lights last Saturday. It was a wonderful evening.

¨ LAST CALL TODAY TO VOTE : As of Tuesday night, Joan Greene says 52 of 84 members have voted to stay here or move. The three choices are: (1) Stay at American Legion Post-103 at $10 per week; (2) Benedetto’s at Best Western, $13; or (3) the Isles Yacht Club $16. If you did not vote by e-mail, you will be given a ballot today. Those five who do not have e-mail were mailed their ballot. This is a very important decision for the club members. Last Call!

¨ ROBIN STUBLEN’S CHRISTMAS DISPLAY : Please plan to see Robin Stublen’s huge Christmas display at his home. Robin hopes to increase donations significantly which he gives half to our Club and half to KFCC. There are 200,000 lights synchronized to music, a castle and Santa on the weekends. Please go to Robin's website at www.ridgeharborchristmas.com for more info. Robin's home is in Ridge Harbor, east of Punta Gorda off US 17.

¨ P.G. KIWANIS POSTER CHRISTMAS GIFT : Ralph Jordan continues selling our color posters, a great Christmas gift; $5 each or framed for $20. These also make a great house warming gift, an anniversary, for the office, etc. Please see Ralph or go to Joan Greene’s Accurate Accounting, Bill Martin’s Insurance, Rick Fox’s dentist office, Peace River Wildlife Gift Shop, Nolan Family Insurance and Bobbie Diehl’s CC MotorSports Park.

¨ CHRISTMAS CARD LANE : Last week we announced the winners which included member Mick Graddy of Graddy Insurance. We’d also like to acknowledge 13 other members who helped. Five sponsored the $50 fee for non-profits: Eddie Webb, Joan Greene, Oscar Dorr, Kaley Miller & Larry Taylor. Eight others participated with entries by business or organizations: Kaley Miller, Pedro Perez, Roger Enger, Simon Denova, Sheryl Flavin, Rick Fox, John Fersner and Donna Hale. Thanks to the 14 who installed cards and to club member for your support. Once bills are paid, we’ll have a net income to report. Take down is Jan. 5th.

¨ GOVERNOR MARK’S OFFICIAL VISIT JAN. 12 : Please reserve this date to meet with Gov. Mark & Sharon. The banquet is in Englewood at the Boca Royale CC. Lt. Gov. Joan Greene will announce details and signup today.

¨ NEXT PNM LUNCHEON TUESDAY JAN. 8 : Prospective New Members and their sponsor meets at River City Grille at 11:30 a.m. We have 3 PNM’s who members brought to meetings, they are: Darrin Metz (Diehl); Ed Miller (Hicks), and Don Rutherford (Ginter) . Please turn in application ASAP. For Kiwanis to do more community service, we need more members.
