¨  ANNUAL INSTALLATION BANQUET: Our 82nd annual is Sunday, Oct. 7. The event will be at the new Isles Yacht Club. Details and signup sheet are out. Please call or e-mail Joan Greene and let her know what your meal preference is of Prime Rib, Chicken or Catch of the day Fish. Your meal and (1) spouse/guest will be picked up by the Club. However, if you do not show up, you will be charged for the meal(s). Deadline to make reservations is Monday, Oct. 1.

¨  OUTBACK FUND RAISER DEADLINE TODAY: On Thursday, Oct. 11, our meeting will be at Outback in Murdock, not here at the Am. Legion that day. Tickets are $10 for a steak, salad, and potatoes. Joan Greene has tickets for 200 people; no program, just great fellowship. We get 100% of the $10. Tip is requested since cooks/wait staff are not paid to work our luncheon. Members must buy the $10 ticket in advance; you’ll get an $8 credit since you won’t be at our regular meeting that day. Bring as many friends-relatives-employees as you want. Deadline to turn in tickets and money is today as we have to confirm the number attending. No tickets can be sold at the door.

¨  KIWANIS FISCAL YEAR 2006-07 ENDS SUNDAY: President Pedro officially ends his term and Sheryl Flavin becomes President Oct. 1 and will be officially sworn in at the banquet Oct. 7. ¨  PNM LUNCHEON TUESDAY OCT. 2: We have PNM Mike Graddy scheduled at the River City Grille at 11:30 a.m. Mike’s sponsor is Sam Harris. We have four other PNM’s who members brought to meetings, they are: Vic George & Darrin Metz (Diehl); Ed Miller (Hicks), and Alli Creek (Carpenter). Please turn in their application ASAP for the Oct. 2 Luncheon and Board meeting. It’s very important for us to do more community service, we need more members. Please bring a PNM to Kiwanis.

¨  KFCC SCHOLARSHIP NOMINEES: Dr. Joe Maggiore has applications available for Kiwanians who are a current member of the Foundation, and would like to have the KFCC consider a student for a scholarship. Deadline is Dec. 31st. Please contact Dr. Joe for an application.

Lauderdale to Ocho Rios, Jamaica, then a huge Kiwanis party by the George Town, Grand Cayman Kiwanis Club. There will be no Kiwanis business on the ship, just lots of fun.
