¨  LAST 4 DIABOLICALS MAKE INTECLUB: Thanks to InterClub Chair Margit Sargent, the last 4 on the Diabolical List made their IC at Port Charlotte last Tuesday. The last were Lee Swift, Sue Craig, Bill Klossner and Dr. Rick Fox. Congrats, we are 100% again for 22 years now!

¨  NEW CLUB BY LAW UPDATE: Your Board has approved the Kiwanis International By Laws for Clubs. There are no new changes, only an easier electronic format that K.I. requires. Last week I put out copies of the By Laws for members to read. Next Thursday, July 26, members will vote on approval of the new format and then be sent to K.I. There were several items in our old By Laws that were Board policy, not meant to be in our old By Laws. Those policies will be printed separately for members .

¨  CLUB PANCAKE DAY AUG. 11: Our annual Pancake Day fundraiser is 3 weeks away here at the American Legion from 8am-1pm. Joan Greene distributed members tickets to sell. We need someone to Chair the Auction. Please mark your calendar and plan to work a few hours. Thanks.

¨  CHRISTMAS CARD LANE: Gene Murtha is chairman of the upcoming CCL. He is looking for someone to co-chair with him, and is also in need of CCL Committee members. If you want to get involved in CCL this year, let Gene know.

¨  CLUB NEEDS NEW TREASURER: Bob Naylor says he’ll retire as Treasurer on Sep. 30, 2007. He’s held that position for the past 18 years. Please contact President Elect Sheryl Flavin ASAP. Person must have bookkeeping and computer skills. Thanks!

¨  MEMBERSHIP UPDATE: We have taken in 9 new members since Oct. 1, 2006, but have lost 19 for a minus -10 so far this fiscal year. Our PNM’s brought to the meetings are: Julius Palermo & May Frame-Inman (Rooney); Mike Graddy, Mary Snyder, Terry Lynn (Harris); Vic George (Diehl); Alli Creek (Carpenter), Bill Cameron (Carpenter). Please turn in their application ASAP for the Aug. 7 Board meeting. It’s very important for us to do more community service, we need more members. Please bring a PNM to Kiwanis next week.
